One of the strategic priorities of the governments in the global developments
along with the advancement of political, security and cultural goals is to try to
guarantee economic relations so that in the changing context of this global
transformation and the coexistence of countries, the economic function
becomes a widely used field in foreign macro policies. There has been a
change in the way diplomacy is used and its effect on international relations
under the title of "economic diplomacy". Based on this, this study aims to
explain and analyze the economic diplomacy in reducing the vulnerability of
the country's economy with the approach of resistance economy and help to
realize the strategic statement of the second step of the revolution in
connection with the general policies of the 7th development plan of the
country in a review, documentary and library form has been done. The
research results indicate that the diplomatic system of the country in the
second step of the revolution, with the approach of economic diplomacy and
practical attention to regional and international internal capacities, by
developing strategic and economic links and expanding cooperation and
partnership with the countries of the region and the world, especially the
neighbors, can develop through bilateral interactions, to have an active and
effective presence in global forums of regional and global communication.
Also, by taking maximum advantage of the actual and potential economic
capacities and opportunities of the international advantageous sectors, while
preventing the economic domination of foreigners by encouraging foreign
investment for export and diversifying economic ties with countries,
especially the countries of the region, by providing essential needs and
financial resources from outside, causes of reduction the vulnerability of the
country's economy and the macro foreign policies of the Islamic Republic of
Iran will be realized.
